Romanian Federation of Judo. Oradea 8 – 9 April 2017 National Championships of Ne Waza – Seniors

In 8th and 9th of April in Oradea Alex Bologa participated at ne-waza (ground techniques) , and won the bronze medal at -66 kg category. He won the first three fights by ippon with his favourite technique: kansetsu-waza(armlock). In the semifinal he lost in golden score (extra time). And finally in the bronze medal fight he won by an ippon with a choke technique. Alex Bologa has become the first blind athlete to win a medal in an abled bodied judo competition.

IBSA Blind Football European Qualifier and Division 2 Championships 3-9 April 2017 Bacau, Romania
The Romanian team won the match against Georgia with a score of 1-0. It was a very hard physical match but our boys kept their cool and persevered. Well done – you were brilliant and fully deserved the victory. Adi Botez scored the only goal of this match and Florin Kovacs from our team was voted the “Man of the Competition”. Congratulations to everyone on the team! Georgia won the silver medal and Greece the bronze medal

Yesterday Ioana Tepelea won the gold medal at the International Junior Open of Table Tennis in Lignano, Italy.

Rinn- IPCAS – Alpine Skiing 5-8 January
Ionel Lungu participated in Rinn in Austria at the first IPCAS race of the year with his trainer Angelo Bude. He won a silver medal and 6th place.

Alex Bologa a adus prima medalie la Jocurile Paralimpice

Judoka Alex Bologa, complet nevăzător, a câştigat medalia de bronz la Jocurile Paralimpice de la Rio la judo nevăzători, categoria 60 de kilograme. Este prima medalie pentru România. Echipa Paralimpica a Romaniei a ajuns la Rio de Janeiro

In perioada 7-18 septembrie, orasul brazilian Rio de Janeiro va gazdui cea de-a 15-a editie a Jocurilor Paralimpice de vara. La competitia unde se vor intalni sportivi din peste 176 de tari, calificati atat la categorii deja consacrate, cat si la categorii noi, Romania este prezenta cu o echipa formata din 12 sportivi.
