Mission of National Paralympic Committee

The National Paralympic Committee, Romania is committed to the promotion and progress of the Paralympic movement in Romania. 

 

The main objectives are:

  • to promote paralympic sport without discrimination in Romania in order to offer a better world for our disabled and disadvantaged people;
  • to increase paralympic awareness throughout Romania ensuring that talented athletes with disabilities can be given the same

          opportunities and financial support to develop their athletic ability as their non-disabled counterparts;

  • to encourage young people with disabilities to take up sport and to popularize paralympic sport as a challenge,

          motivation and a means of social integration as well as improving health issues such as reflexes, body strength and concentration;

  • to aim to create a paralympic team of athletes that Romania can be proud of;
  • to provide accessible sport and training facilities for all athletes  with disabilities in Romania.  Read More>>

Echipa Romaniei in Slovenia_Fotor

Slovenia International Table Tennis Open Lasko 6-9 May 2017

In the IPTCC Slovenia International Open in Lasko, Slovenia 343 athletes from 41 countries participated making it a larger and a more important competition than the European Championships. From Romania 9 players formed the Romanian team – Gabriela Constantin, Camelia Ciripan, Ioana Tepelea, Ioan Dirlea, Dacian Makszin, Petru Ifrosa and Bobi Simion with trainers Anca Chereches and Alex Gheorghe. In the Singles noone reached the finals but in the team event we won two medals: Ioana Tepelea winning bronze in class 10 and Bobi Simion winning silver in Class 6. The rest of our team finished 5th in their respective classes Gabita and Camelia finished 5th in class 6; Ioan Dirlea and Dacian in Class 3 and Petru partnering a Spanish player in class 4. This was excellent training for the World Team Championships being held in Bratislava next week .

“Strindberg” Cup Alpine Skiing, [I edition I], Partia Toplita, Romania 17 February 2017

Strindberg, the firm for professional winter sportswear, celebrated its 25 anniversary on Partia Toplita in Romania with an event featuring 2 ski competitions, one for clubs (17 February) and one for amateurs (18 February) including live entertainment and gliding demonstrations. Ionel Lungu and Florin Mandru participated in the monoschi competition yestereday and won 1st and 2nd places respectively
